Why study at Hugo Treffner Gymnasium?

HTG offers a freedom to choose several subjects on your own. What's more, the choice of special classes, such as mathematics, arts and natural science classes, allows students to learn these subjects more thoroughly. In addition to that, there are great opportunities for pursuing after-school activities. One can choose between the school choir, debating society, sport clubs, drama group and many more. During my three years of studying at HTG I have really enjoyed the environment that encourages studying and also the great group of people I have met. The best thing about HTG is that it gives students a lot of opportunities to immerse in academic pursuits but at the same time they can choose to just have a good time and dedicate themselves to their hobbies or extracurricular activities. Of course, just like any other school, HTG has its downsides and issues, but the school is really putting in the effort to improve on those aspects and I think we are moving in the right direction. Overall, I am really happy that I chose to study at HTG!

Why I like to study at HTG? The typical answer to this question would be that in this school you get good education. I think that this answer is wrong. If you want, you can get good education in every school.
But in HTG, we have this environment you can't find in every other school. This is the main reason why I like studying in this school. All the people around me are motivated and they know why and what they are doing. This motivates and gives a boost to set higher goals, to reach further.
Secondly, there are so many different people at HTG. All of them have their own point of view, which is really interesting. Communicating with different types of people improves yourself and your understanding of life.  
I think that all of this together is the reason why HTG is one of the best schools in Estonia and why people from HTG are so successful.

Students may have manifold reasons to study at HTG, however, all of us want to receive the best education possible. Naturally, HTG is the appropriate school to receive it. The greatest advantage of HTG is that all the students have a certain target, which means that they know exactly what they expect from life. Furthermore, the atmosphere and fellow pupils are very supportive of each other; thus the inside climate gives you a feeling, that it is a good place to be and study. Studying at Hugo Treffner Gymnasium is also a good opportunity to gain advantage of programs that may be more impressive than in other schools. Moreover, you may find that education at HTG will give you unique insights into your field, making you a more desirable freshman candidate.

Hugo Treffner Gymnasium is one of the oldest schools in Estonia. 130 years have left the school enough time to create its own traditions and spirit. The environment is really friendly and you can feel the fellow feeling in everyday school life, especially at events like school anniversary ball and freshmen initiation. The schoolhouse is really beautiful and has all the modern equipment needed for students to concentrate on their studies. There is also a comfortable common-room, library with a reading hall and a big atrium where students come together during breaks. Each student has their own locker and the school lunch tastes very well. Treffner offers a high quality education and several extra-curricular activities.
